Preparation
With daily routes between 40 - 80 miles and 6,000+ feet of elevation gain, the Colorado Cycling Challenge with Fabio Tours is for the serious cyclist. You've heard about the local Boulder professional cyclists training on these routes and now you get to ride them! All roads are paved asphalt, perfect for road bikes. In addition to breathtaking vistas of the Front Range, Rocky Mountain National Park, the Gore Range in Summit County and more, you'll visit some of Colorado's most famous mountain towns including Vail, Leadville, and Breckenridge. Leading up to the trip, we recommend that guests are consistently riding 4 or more days a week with long rides of 50+ miles so that they are comfortable in the saddle for 3-5 hour rides. Riders should be accustomed to climbing and descending, as well as bike handling on hills and curved roads.
